A note to our customers in regards to the current Covid-19 crisis and the measures Cat Tropicana has in place to ensure everyone’s well being.
We’re pleased to say we have re-opened our doors and are accepting new bookings. Whilst summer holidays may be postponed, you may still need that extra pair of hands to take care of your furry friends during this difficult time.
We’re following the best practice advice provided by the UK Government and Blue Cross to ensure that we can still run our 5 star service without posing a risk to health. Please read on to understand the new measures that have been implemented to make this possible, and if you have any questions or concern, please get in touch.
Bringing your cat to Cat Tropicana
Ordinarily we love to have you bring your cat directly into Cat Tropicana to help get them settled in. With social distancing measures still in place, and the security of our other cat residence to consider, this isn’t possible. We ask that owners bring their cats and knock on the side door, where we will meet you in full protective clothing. We can then pick up the carrier and take your cat down to the cattery without you needing to physically enter our home or the cattery facility.
We will first wipe the exterior of the carrier with a pet-safe disinfectant wipe, and we will be wearing surgical gloves whilst handling the carrier and your cat. Whilst cats are not carriers of the virus, particles may be on their fur and on any toys - we ask that you minimise the number of personal items your cat brings to the cattery as these will also need to be wiped clean before they enter the cattery.
While many of us customers have used our services before and know that their cat will settle in quickly, for new customers or those who are unsure, we are happy to send you a video and/or photos so you can see how your cat is being settled in, their pen, and have a quick virtual cuddle before waving them goodbye.
We are also continuing to offer our pick up and drop off service, providing that we can do so safely and in line with guidelines.
If you have any further questions then please do get in touch.
